Il punto di partenza del percorso \u00e8 raggiungibile dai borghi di Libbiano, Micciano e Serrazzano, percorrendo la strada sterrata di facile percorribilit\u00e0 che porta nella Riserva di Monterufoli.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vicinissimo alla Villa di Monterufoli prende avvio una breve passeggiata, da percorrere a piedi o a cavallo, per conoscere antiche foreste e testimonianze di attivit\u00e0 agricole.<\/p>\n

Le aree coltivate e boschive sono particolarmente utili per la fauna che – puntualmente – \u00e8 possibile osservare nei prati di Campo ai meli.<\/p>\n

Vecchie piante da frutto testimoniano il loro passato agricolo, mentre la foresta, tutto intorno alla radura, ci regala presenze rare come quella del tasso (Taxus baccata) atipica conifera amante dell’ombra e del fresco, ornata da bacche rosse al posto delle pigne. Le foglie e i semi sono velenosi, da cui la pianta trae anche il nome di Albero della morte.<\/p>\n

Very close to the Villa di Monterufoli, we can take a short walk or horseback ride to become acquainted with the ancient forests and the evidence of agricultural activities that created clearings and open meadows, preserved to this day to increase the biodiversity of the reserve. These areas are particularly useful for the fauna, which you may observe in the meadows of Campo ai Meli. Old fruit trees (meli = apple trees) bear witness to the agricultural history of the area, while the forest surrounding the clearing offers unique sights, such as the yew tree (Taxus baccata<\/em>), a rare and atypical conifer that loves the shade and cool environments, with red berries instead of fir cones. The leaves and seeds are poisonous, hence the name \u201ctree of death\u201d. Its presence, along with that of the bay tree and the holly, is interpreted as evidence of the tropical flora present in the area before the
