Con una passeggiata n\u00e9 lunga, n\u00e9 faticosa, dal bel centro medievale di Montecatini – lungo la strada che porta all\u2019interessante museo della Miniera – si raggiunge l\u2019oratorio di Santa Barbara, protettrice dei minatori, per iniziare poi a risalire e raggiungere la cima del Poggio alla Croce, dove i i minatori stessi impiantarono una caratteristica croce in ferro, realizzata con tecniche e materiali tipici delle costruzioni minerarie.
\nDa qui si pu\u00f2 ammirare una grandiosa vista verso il versante Volterrano, fino a spaziare sull\u2019Alta Val di Cecina, dove spicca la puntuta e solida Rocca Sillana.<\/p>\n

With a short and easy walk from the Medieval heart of Montecatini along the road that leads to the interesting mining museum, which we warmly encourage you to visit, we reach the oratory of Santa Barbara, patron saint of miners. We then begin to ascend along a path that leads through the woods and quickly reaches the top of a hillock, where the miners installed their typical iron cross, produced with the techniques and materials of mine construction.<\/p>\n

From here we enjoy a breathtaking view of the face of the hill of Volterra, until our eyes become lost in the high Val di Cecina, where the pointed and sturdy Rocca Sillana stands out.<\/p>\n

The descent to Montecatini is pleasant, thanks both to the endless landscapes and the natural features of a rocky face covered in lush
