Padulella beach thrills nature and tan lovers thanks to its turquoise and crystal-clear waters, pure white pebbles and cliffs overlooking the sea.<\/p>\n
Sheltered by \u201cPunta di Capo Bianco\u201d it is the perfect place to go when Sirocco wind blows. It is also part of the Protected Environmental and Biological Area, and so perfect to practice snorkeling and discover all the marine species which live in its waters.<\/p>\n
If you want to eat something or get comfortable, no worries: there are bars, restaurants, sunbeds, umbrellas and pedalo rental service.<\/p>\n

By walk, it is necessary to follow the road from Portoferraio town center in the direction of \u201cLe Ghiaie\u201d beach and follow the signs for Padulella. On the right side, take the pedestrian path which leads to the beach. The sight on the coastline and the Medicean fortresses of Portoferraio is wonderful.<\/p>\n

This beach, whose name derives from its smooth white pebbles, is one of the most beautiful spots of Portoferraio. There you can dive into its blue waters or just lie in the sun, on your own towel or on the lounge chairs offered by the rentals places.<\/p>\n
Great for a dive when Sirocco wind blows, enhancing the crystal clear waters, this beach is part of the reserve (protective easement zone). Everyone will just need a scuba mask to admire many species of fish and a wide variety of sea life, just a few meters from shore.<\/p>\n
And if you feel like taking a swim when the sun goes down or at night, just know that the beach is illuminated so that people can go swimming quietly, even at night time.<\/p>\n
The wide public park of \u201cLe Ghiaie\u201d, that separates the beach from the old town, is the ideal place to hide in the shadow during the hottest times of the day and where children can play.<\/p>\n
If you would like to eat something on the waterfront, you will find plenty of restaurants, bars and ice-cream shops, where you can enjoy some fresh fish and cool off. \u201cLa Bussola\u201d Restaurant serves a succulent spaghetti dish called \u201c3 B\u201d with codfish, burrata and bottarga. A real delicacy!<\/p>\n

\u201cLe Viste\u201d is a beautiful little beach, located in the immediate surroundings of the old town of Portoferraio.<\/p>\n
It is situated nearby Villa dei Mulini, the winter residence of Napoleon, and it is dominated by the majestic fortress of \u201cForte Falcole\u201d.<\/p>\n
Its crystal-clear waters, especially when the southern wind blows, make you want to take a swim without even think about that.<\/p>\n
The beach is 180 meters long and it is characterized by clear sand and little pebbles of various shapes and colors.<\/p>\n
The waters facing the beach, are part of \u201cLo Scoglietto\u201d marina reserve. This little island, at about a mile far away and reachable by boat, is one of the most beautiful places where to do scuba diving, because of fish abundance.<\/p>\n
Not only locals but also tourists love this beach as it is easily reachable on foot from the old town.<\/p>\n
On the beach there is a restaurant and a sunbeds and umbrellas rental service.<\/p>\n
The easiest way to get there is to follow the signs for \u201cVilla dei Mulini\u201d. Near the beach, there is a small car park but the space is limited.
