Palazzo Malaspina, a late Renaissance building whose existence has been known since 989, was built at the end of the 16th century as a sign of prestige and social success of the Ticci family, From San Donato in Poggio for generations, who moved to Florence in search of a social ascent. From 1740, for seventy years, it was a summer residence owned by the Malaspina di Mulazzo. Later the Palace was divided and partly acquired by the Municipality of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.
