L\u2019itinerario \u201c10 cose da vedere\u201d, \u00e8 lungo poco pi\u00f9 di 21 km, in gran parte su strade asfaltate, che non hanno un traffico eccessivo. Si pu\u00f2 quindi percorrere anche in bicicletta e richiede un tempo di circa 2 ore, meno consigliabile \u00e8 percorrerlo a piedi.\u00a0 Il percorso presenta alcuni dislivelli significativi per arrivare a San Donato in Poggio e per scendere e risalire dal fondo valle della Pesa a Sambuca. E\u2019 consigliabile fare l\u2019itinerario partendo da Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, iniziando dalla Chiesa di Santa Lucia al Borghetto (1) per arrivare a Badia a Passignano (10). Dopo l\u2019abitato del capoluogo la strada si mantiene asfaltata fino alla Chiesa di San Pietro in Bossolo, poi diventa bianca, ma in buone condizioni, a parte un piccolo tratto subito dopo la Pieve, fino a che il percorso non rientra sulla strada provinciale. La strada si mantiene in quota fino al bivio per Sambuca Val di Pesa l, pur con qualche saliscendi. Dopo c\u2019\u00e8 una costante salita, che si accentua prima di San Donato in Poggio. Da San Donato in Poggio alla Sambuca il tratto \u00e8 tutto in discesa tra vigneti e boschi, mentro da Sambuca a Badia a Passignano il percorso \u00e8 tutto in salita, con alcuni tratti anche piuttosto ripidi.<\/p>\n
La partenza comincia dal piazzale antistante la Chiesa di Santa Lucia al Borghetto (1) che offre un affaccio sulla Val d\u2019Elsa e su Barberino Val d’Elsa.
\nDa qui si scende verso il centro del capoluogo di Tavarnelle Val di Pesa su via Roma con le sue caratteristiche di borgo storico (2) di transito sulla viabilit\u00e0 di collegamento tra Firenze e Siena sulla via Cassia (via Roma all\u2019interno dell\u2019abitato).
\nDa centro di Tavarnelle si raggiunge facilmente, anche a piedi, la Pieve di San Pietro in Bossolo (3) e il Museo d’Arte Sacra adiacente. Dalla Pieve per una strada sterrata in buone condizioni si arriva con una bella escursione panoramica su vigneti, uliveti e boschi alla Chiesa di Santa Maria al Morrocco (4), con l’antico convento delle Carmelitane, a met\u00e0 strada tra San Donato e il capoluogo.
\nProseguendo per la strada provinciale di crinale che spazia sulle valli della Pesa e dell’Elsa si incontra l’antica Pieve di San Donato in Poggio (5) e poi il borgo che mostra evidente l’aspetto del vecchio Castello di San Donato (6), al cui interno sono contenuti la Torre campanaria, la Chiesa di Santa Maria della Neve, il pozzo e il Palazzo Malaspina (7), sede di importanti mostre ed eventi.
\nDal borgo di San Donato uscendo da una delle due porte (o quella Fiorentina o quella Senese) si raggiunge con un breve tragitto il Santuario della Madonna di Pietracupa (8). Da qui si pu\u00f2 proseguire per arrivare al sito dell’Osservatorio Polifunzionale del Chianti o tornare per tratto indietro e scendere verso il borgo di Sambuca (9), luogo \u00e8 storicamente importante con la presenzade ll’antico ponte “romano” di Ramagliano, che consentiva il transito attraverso il fiume Pesa collegando Firenze a Siena, sulla via \u201cRomea Senese\u201d. Attraversato il ponte e l’altra parte del borgo si prosegue l’itinerario, che dopo un breve tratto nel fondo valle, si stacca per salire verso Badia a Passignano (10), il luogo turisticamente pi\u00f9 conosciuto e ricco di storia e di beni artistici, legato all’Abbazia Vallombrosana e la fondatore dell\u2019omonimo ordine monastico, san Giovanni Gualberto, qui sepolto. The “10 things to see” itinerary, is just over 21 km long, mostly on asphalted roads, which do not have excessive traffic. You can therefore also travel by bike and takes about 2 hours, it is less advisable to walk on foot. The route has some significant differences in height to get to San Donato in Poggio and to go down and up from the bottom of the Pesa valley in Sambuca. It is advisable to take the itinerary starting from Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, starting from the Church of Santa Lucia al Borghetto (1) to get to Badia a Passignano (10). After the town of the capital the road remains asphalted up to the Church of San Pietro in Bossolo, then becomes white, but in good condition, apart from a small stretch immediately after the church, until the path does not return to the provincial road. The road remains at an altitude up to the junction for Sambuca Val di Pesa l, even with some ups and downs. Afterwards there is a constant ascent, which is accentuated before San Donato in Poggio. From San Donato in Poggio alla Sambuca the stretch is all downhill between vineyards and woods, while from Sambuca to Badia a Passignano the route is all uphill, with some rather steep sections.
\nThe departure starts from the square in front of the Church of Santa Lucia al Borghetto (1) that offers a view of the Val d’Elsa and Barberino.
\nFrom here we descend towards the center of the capital of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa on Via Roma with its characteristics of historic village (2) of transit on the road link between Florence and Siena on Via Cassia (via Roma inside the town) .
\nFrom the center of Tavarnelle you can easily reach, even on foot, the Parish Church of San Pietro in Bossolo (3) and the adjacent Museum of Sacred Art. From the Pieve for a dirt road in good condition we arrive with a beautiful panoramic hike on vineyards, olive groves and woods to the Church of Santa Maria al Morrocco (4), with the ancient Carmelite convent, halfway between San Donato and the capital .
