The collection was created in 1989 with works from the churches of the surrounding territories, in particular from the nearby churches of Santa Lucia al Borghetto, San Lorenzo in Vigliano, Santa Maria al Morrocco, as well as from the Church of San Pietro in Bossolo. The Museum consists of paintings of the 13th-18th \u00a0century, liturgical objects and a small collection of votive offerings. The oldest painting dates back to the second half of the thirteenth century: it is a Madonna col Bambino attributed to Meliore di Jacopo,a Florentine artist. Two astylar crosses also date back to the 13th \u00a0century.
