La\u00a0cattedrale di G\u00f6teborg<\/b>\u00a0o\u00a0cattedrale di Gustavo<\/b>\u00a0(in\u00a0svedese<\/a>:\u00a0G\u00f6teborgs domkyrka<\/i>\u00a0o\u00a0Gustavi domkyrka<\/i>) \u00e8 la cattedrale luterana di\u00a0G\u00f6teborg<\/a>, in\u00a0Svezia<\/a>, e sede della\u00a0diocesi di G\u00f6teborg<\/a>.<\/p>\n L’attuale cattedrale fu costruita e consacrata nel 1633 ed \u00e8 intitolata a re\u00a0Gustavo Adolfo di Svezia<\/a>, che fond\u00f2 la citt\u00e0 nel 1621. Nel 1665 viene creata la diocesi di G\u00f6teborg e la chiesa \u00e8 elevata a cattedrale.<\/p>\n Nella notte del 15 aprile 1721 la cattedrale bruci\u00f2 in un incendio. Poich\u00e9 le pareti della cattedrale rimasero in piedi, \u00e8 stato possibile ripristinare l’edificio abbastanza rapidamente. La cattedrale \u00e8 stata riaperta al culto il 25 maggio 1722, solo 13 mesi dopo l’incendio, con le stesse dimensioni della vecchia cattedrale, ma con una torre al posto della precedente guglia. Anche la seconda cattedrale \u00e8 bruciata in un incendio, il 20 dicembre 1802. La chiesa \u00e8 stata cos\u00ec gravemente danneggiata da rendere necessaria la riedificazione. La costruzione \u00e8 iniziata nel 1804.<\/p>\n La nuova cattedrale fu progettata dall’architetto Carl Wilhelm Carlberg, che mor\u00ec il 14 aprile 1814. La costruzione fu quindi completata dal suo allievo, Justus Frederick Weinberg. La chiesa fu consacrata dal vescovo Johan Wing\u00e5rd il 21 maggio 1815, festa della Trinit\u00e0.
