Il percorso museale si sviluppa su tre piani. Nella prima parte, al piano terra, \u00e8 spiegata la storia del noto tubero, cominciata pi\u00f9 di 10.000 anni fa in Per\u00f9, con l’addomesticamento di patate selvatiche, e della sua diffusione in Europa.<\/p>\n

Il primo piano dettaglia la storia delle patatine fritte e le loro origini in Belgio. Il piano interrato dell’edificio ospita diverse tipologie di macchine per sbucciare e tagliare le patate e un chiosco di frites<\/i>. \u00c8 presente anche una raccolta di fotografie, opere d’arte con soggetti legati alle patatine e una collezione di friggitrici retr\u00f2. Dopo la visita, si pu\u00f2 assaggiare\u00a0<\/sup>nella cantina medievale del palazzo, patatine fritte belghe insieme a diverse carni e salse.<\/p>\n

The Frietmuseum is located in the Gothic Saaihalle (former wool hall) at Vlamingstraat 33. This is one of the oldest buildings in the World Heritage listed historic centre of Bruges and dates back to 1399, with an annexe added shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n

<\/sup><\/sup>Throughout the fifteenth century, this building was used as a base for the activities of Genoese merchants.<\/p>\n

The museum is spread across three floors. Exhibits on the ground floor trace the history of potatoes, beginning in Peru c.8000BC. This large market square in the centre of Bruges is more of a circle than a square. If you stand in the middle by the large statue, you can turn a complete circle and see a ring of gorgeous buildings, including the belfry.<\/p>\n

Car free since 1995, it makes for great people watching, whether from the view of a horse drawn carriage or sitting at one of the many market side cafes.<\/p>\n

Successivamente, nel 1623,\u00a0 <\/span>sul luogo del disastro venne costruito un <\/i>polder di mare<\/i><\/b>. I polder sono territori conquistati al mare, ad un lago o a un suolo paludoso, cinti da dighe, il cui livello d\u2019acqua \u00e8 regolato artificialmente tramite pompaggio (da cui la diffusione e l\u2019importanza dei mulini su tutto il territorio). <\/i><\/p>\n
