Ci fu un momento, durante il XVIII secolo, in cui una nuova invenzione, lo sciacquone, port\u00f2 Londra sull\u2019orlo della catastrofe. La nuova scoperta infatti, non essendo accompagnata da adeguati sistemi per il trattamento delle acque, fu la causa di diverse epidemie di colera che causarono migliaia di morti. <\/i><\/p>\n
