Il paese, sviluppatosi intorno all\u2019antico castello, ancora compreso entro le mura medievali, \u00e8 ritenuto uno dei pi\u00f9 antichi villaggi del Chianti. Originariamente il castello era dotato di due giri di mura che si sviluppavano su un perimetro ottagonale che furono in parte abbattute insieme alle torri dalle truppe di Carlo V durante l\u2019assedio di Firenze.<\/p>\n
L\u2019aspetto attuale risale al\u2019500, quando alle mura si addossarono le case costruite con il materiale residuo delle torri andate distrutte. Tra le due guerre vennero poi erette l\u2019attuale villa ed i locali della fattoria. The village, which developed around the ancient castle, still included within the medieval walls, is considered one of the oldest villages of Chianti. Originally the castle was equipped with two rounds of walls that were being developed on an octagonal perimeter. The walls were partially torn down along with the towers by the troops of Charles V during the siege of Florence.<\/p>\n
The current appearance dates back in the XVI cent., when several houses were built close to the walls with the residual material of the destroyed towers. Between the two wars it was then built the present villa and the local farm. Le village, qui s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 autour de l’ancien ch\u00e2teau inclus dans les remparts m\u00e9di\u00e9vaux, est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l’un des plus anciens villages du Chianti. A l’origine le ch\u00e2teau avait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9quip\u00e9 de deux s\u00e9ries de remparts b\u00e2tis sur un p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre octogonale, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 partiellement d\u00e9molis avec les tours par les troupes de Charles V pendant le si\u00e8ge de Florence. L’aspect actuel remonte au 1500, quand des maisons ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construites avec la mati\u00e8re r\u00e9siduelle des tours d\u00e9truites, tout \u00e0 cot\u00e9 des remparts.<\/p>\n
L’actuelle villa et les locaux de la ferme ont ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9rig\u00e9es entre les deux guerres. Grazie alla posizione, \u00e8 possibile godere da qui di un bel panorama sulle colline circostanti. Di probabile origine etrusca, fu un centro popoloso fin dall\u2019epoca romana e di conseguenza altamente fortificato, come testimoniano i notevoli resti del castello, costruito probabilmente dalla famiglia Firidolfi, appartenente alla casta dei Ricasoli, attorno al cassero di epoca feudale.<\/p>\n
Coinvolto a partire dal 1260 nelle guerre tra Firenze e Siena, sub\u00ec diversi assedi nel corso dei secoli successivi, che tuttavia lasciarono intatta la cinta muraria. Due to its location, from Panzano you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. Probably of Etruscan origin, it was a populous center since Roman times and therefore highly fortified, as evidenced by the substantial remains of the castle, probably built by the Firidolfi family, belonging to the caste of Ricasoli, around the keep of feudal times.<\/p>\n
Involved since 1260 in the wars between Florence and Siena, it underwent several sieges during the following centuries, which nevertheless left the city walls intact. Sullo spartiacque fra le valli della dei fiumi Pesa ed Arbia, il comune di Radda fu a capo della Lega del Chianti (1201).
