Trafalgar Square ist der gr\u00f6\u00dfte \u00f6ffentliche Platz in London und seit dem Mittelalter ein zentraler Treffpunkt. In der Mitte des Platzes steht ein Denkmal, das die Londoner <\/i><\/span><\/span>Admiral Nelson <\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span>als Dank f\u00fcr den Sieg der Engl\u00e4nder \u00fcber die Franzosen und Spanier, die sich verb\u00fcndet hatten, in der <\/i><\/span><\/span>Schlacht von Trafalgar<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> setzten. <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Admiral Lord Nelson wurde bei dieser bekannten Schlacht (1805) t\u00f6dlich verwundet und schlie\u00dflich zur\u00fcck nach London gebracht und dort in der St Paul’s Cathedral beigesetzt.
