The Cordelia fault is part of the San Andreas fault system in Northern California. It is a right-lateral, strike-slip fault. The outcrop exposure shows the preferential weathering of the fault gouge create by cataclasis in the active fault zone. Fault slip rates are estimated at 1 mm\/yr. Photo ID 698<\/p>\n
