The north cliff of Cala Pedrosa: a unique example of multiple granitoid emplacement by the magmatic stoping mechanism in the Variscan Costa Brava batholith. The darkest rocks (hornfels) were first intruded by a granodioritic magma (grey) and both the hornfels and the solidified granodiorite were subsequently intruded by leucogranites (light coloured rocks).
